Ms.
Oralia Quezada has been our computer lab proctor
for the last 5 years. She works along with the teachers to ensure
that students improve their skills in reading, math, and writing
skills. Ms. Quezada is responsible for the daily running of our
computer lab and does an excellent job. She demonstrates an
empathy towards the students and works will with them. She also
assists Mr. Britt in maintaining all the computers on our campus.
Ms. Quezada is currently taking college classes working towards a
teaching degree.
Ms.
Chinyere Shaw, has been our math teacher for the last two
years. Originally from Nigeria, Africa Ms. Shaw first came to
Dallas in 1998 as a Science Fair director, and lead her team to school
finalist for the Intel-Science and Engineering Fair. She has
worked for Irving CISD from1998 to 1999 and has worked at Lady of
Sorrows school in McAllen. She brings to her
teaching a global perspective. Ms. Shaw uses the district math
timelines to ensure the students are learning the necessary skills to
pass the new TEKS objectives.
Ms.
Cheryl Lopez, is one of our wonderful aides she assists the teachers and
helps the student to learn appropriate behavior and social skills.
She also is currently taking classes to become a teacher.

Ms.
Isaura Anzuldua, is our librarian and maintains the daily operation of
our Accelerated Reader Program. She has been with Roosevelt
Alternative School for almost 10 years.
Mr.
Omar Zamora, who is in charge of security ensures a safe environment for
our students and staff. He has been with the district many years
much of it working at Mission High School. He came to us four
years ago.
Mr. Guadalupe
Ortiz is another of our aides. He joined us last year and also
assists in the supervision of the students ensuring they are at their
designated location.
Our
secretaries, Rachel Dela Garza (right) and Karina Anzuldua ensures the
office runs effectively and are often the first staff members that
students, parents, and guests meet when they first come to Roosevelt
Alternative School.
