SCHOOL SAFETY
There will be no gang hand sign
communication, graffiti, and tagging is strictly prohibited.
11. If you are having problems with another student,
you are NOT to take matters into your own hands. Report problems to
any members of the staff for resolution of the problem.
12. If a student presents a danger of physical harm to
his/her self or other students, engages in serious and persistent
misbehavior and/or is deemed uncontrollable and disruptive, the student
will be removed from campus. It will be the parent's responsibility
to come and pick up the student, however if the parent does not respond
within one hour, the juvenile/law enforcement authorities. When
the student is asked to leave the campus it will be for his/her protection
or for the protection of other students and or the school staff.
Therefore the

student must leave the campus immediately. If the
student returns to the campus without authorization, the student will be
considered a trespasser and will be subject to criminal charges.
13. A student may be expelled from Roosevelt Alternative
School if the student continues to engage in serious or persistent
misbehavior. The student may be expelled if he/she engages in any
conduct as defined in Section 37.007 of the Texas Education Code. (See
page 4 of the Student code of conduct). A student must be
expelled if he/she engages in any conduct as defined in Section
37.006(a),(2),and (3) of the Texas Education Code, (See page 4 of the
Student code of conduct). No later than two business days after
expulsion, a copy of the order will be delivered to an officer of the juvenile court.
14. Prosecution of criminal conduct will be vigorously
pursued and violations of the student code will be dealt with promptly.
