This weekend two of my daughters came up to help paint. Sandy caught Jennifer while she was rolling the wall by the front door. Toby, the cat, is perched on the beam between the foyer and the dining room. He was up there because Jennifer brought her dog Cleo with her. In fact he spent quite a few hours laying on the beam.
While Jennifer, Molly and myself painted, Sandy spent most of her time cleaning the drywall mud off of the beams we needed to paint around. We had a good time and really got a lot done. The help was much appreciated.
This is the dinette area. The other day I put in the returns and casing on the windows. It's beginning to look finished.
The returns and casings on the windows are made from knotty alder stained natural. It is a very beautiful look.
This is the guest bathroom on the second floor. The wainscoating is beadboard and I made the cabinet to match. The cabinet top is made from knotty alder stained natural and it has three coats of semi gloss polyurethane. I still have to make a mirror and when done will match the cabinet.
