The forms are ready for concrete to be poured for the stem wall of the garage and mud room. They will do the pour on Monday, 6/6.
A couple of days ago I cut out the windows in the dining room and master bath. We needed to get some light in there so we could see. Sandy and I have been busy sanding and saucing the timbers. The timberframers call it saucing but it is just oiling the timbers with a special oil that smells like oranges. It has cypress and other oils in the mixture. We are just about done with the first floor.
Today the foundation for the garage was poured. They also poured the footers for the back deck posts.
Sandy and I painted the fascia the other day and the guys started putting it up yesterday and will finish it up tomorrow. They ran short of fascia boards today so I painted most of the day. A lot easier to paint on the ground than up on a ladder. Friday they will dry in the roof with tar paper getting it ready for the shingles.
