This morning a crane was brought in and the trusses were set in place. Tomorrow they will add the fascia then the roof sheeting. We will have about a 13 foot ceiling in the garage. The upper level will be used as storage. The only problem we have now is where we can put the stairs. May have to put in a circular staircase.
Here the garage is ready for shingles. In fact the whole place is ready. They have the shingles in the front yard so I hope they install them soon.
This is a view of the back of the house. This was taken about 5PM with the sun going down in the west. The windows for the top part of the great room will be ordred tomorrow and once they are in it should really look nice. Also a garden door is being ordered for the great room. Once the back of the house is ready for siding I'll take another picture.
Sandy and I spent a week on vacation in Ohio to see family and friends, We also celebrated the 10th kidney-versary of the kidney transplant in my brother John. While we were gone the crew started the siding. The roof shingles were started yesterday and they should finish tomorrow. The roof looks a little blue but it is really charcoal gray.
