Walla, we have a front door. We had to get one that somewhat matched the arch in the beams. Originally the door was going to be on the left side with a window on the right but Alan, the timberframer cut the arch into the beams so we had to move the door to make it look right.
This is a view of the left side of the back of the house. The deck is down but they ran short on material for the top of the railing so it will be finished as soon as they get more.
This view is of the right side of the back of the house. Our general contractor thinks this should have been the front of the house. The lines are quite beautiful if I do say so myself. The colors have worked out just as we planned.
Today I installed to front porch lights and the house numbers. I guess now we can say we are legal.
