Here you see Scott using a jumping jack to compact the dirt around the foundation. He will probably be vibrating for the next two days after running this all day.
Today Leo backfilled the foundation. When this picture was taken he still had a couple hours of work to go. When he finished all of the black was covered.
The deck package showed up late Thursday so the guys started on it today. The framing in the middle of the basement is for the stairs. Today was very windy and I think I got wind burned rather than sunburned. The weekend is supposed to be nice so I think I'll do some more tree trimming.
This picture and the one above were taken from the other side of the foundation. The view is looking NE. The garage will be on the other side of the house. Well, I think I'll do a little trimming and rest a bit this weekend. Monday should be a fun day as the beams and joist for the first floor will be going in.
