Yesterday I piched in and helped the guys remove the forms from the first pour. We started forming for the second pour. While Greg and AJ installed the panels, Scott and I put in the spacers that hold the wall at 8" and then we installed the rebar. Today we finished up the rebar and then started installing the panels on the inside of the wall.
Here I caught AJ installing bracing to the forms. A lot of bracing must be installed to keep the walls straight.
Well, I had to make a run to Tucson on Friday the 22nd and was not there for the second pour. This is a picture of the wall just before we started to remove the forms. I guess I bettter put the camera down and lend a helping hand. We had the forms removed and the hole cleaned out by the end of the day. Tomorrow the concrete crew will prep the basement for a floor.
The concrete crew prepared the basement today. All that needs to be done is to put some rebar in the trenches in the middle and line the outer edges of the wall with expansion material. The plan is to pour the basement floor tomorrow morning at 0700.
