Franz Peter Schubert

Birth: January 31, 1797 in Vienna
Death: November 19, 1828 in Vienna

He was one of the earliest of the Romantic movement. His musical talent revealed at the young age. However, at first, he became a teacher for the wishes of his father. Nevertheless he continued musical activities in free time. Finally he stopped teaching by 1818 to compose in full-time. But there was another obstacle - sickness. In early 1822, he suffered with syphilis and his finantial condition went worse and worse. He always respected Beethoven, and buried near him.
Otto Erich Deutsch arranged Schubert's works from 1923 to 1951. He was a music historian, publisher and writer who was a professional in the composers of the Vienna classical period include Schubert. But he couldn't finish the work until 1951 when the thematic catalogue was issued.
