Ludwig van BeethovenBirth: December 17, 1770 in Bonn Death: March 26, 1827 in Vienna At first, he studied music with his father. In 1792, he moved to Vienna where he learned from Haydn and others. Sad to say, he realised that he was losing hearing by 1815. Nevertheless, he completed 9 symphonies that strongly influenced the future. Some of them are very popular - for example, the Eroica (No. 3) which is originally dedicated to Napoleon, the Fate (No. 5), the Pastoral (No. 6), and the Choral symphony (No. 9). Symphony No. 3 in E flat "Eroica", Op.55 (1st movement / 2nd movement) Symphony No. 5 in C minor "Fate", Op.67 (1st movement - Allegro con brio) Symphony No. 6 in F major "Pastoral", Op.68 (1st movement - Allegro ma non troppo) Symphony No. 7 Symphony No. 9 in D minor Op.125 "Choral" (4th movement - Presto) Concerto for piano, violin, cello and orchestra c-dur, op.56 |
