Inga G Ougendal
Ingeborg Gundersen Ougendal was the only of the eight brothers and sisters that did not get married.
Usually she was called Inga as there were four Ingeborgs living at Åvendal at that time.
She graduated as a nurse and worked at a hospital in the Norwegian Capital, Oslo.
Sadly, she got cancer and died at Åvendal in 1934, aged only 39.
According to the many pictures she sent home to younger sister Ida it seems that she enjoyed
life in the capital. Often the pictures depicted youths on picnics having a good time, and it
probably felt good for someone coming from somewhat puritan and conservative Sokndal to be
able to enjoy life without too many restrictions.
