Ida Puntervold

Ida and Ingvald together with Georg and Johanna at a visit at Ougendal Ida Kristine, the youngest child of Ingeborg and Gunder was born in 1905, the year before Gina emigrated. She got married in October 1930 with Ingvald Puntervold who was 27.

Ingvald himself had stayed in the US for two years before returning to Norway to purchase a farm at Håland, 4 miles south of Egersund, now being run by their grandson Jan Steinar.

As many other farmers in the area did, Ingvald also took part in the herring-fisheries for many years, the income from the fisheries making a welcome addition to the revenues from the farm. The house they lived in at Håland was built prior to 1700, and is today rented out to tourists. Ingvald and Ida's son Olaf built himself another house on the farm when he ran it.

Ida died in 1978.
