Well, the system has finally been bought and I couln't be more excited about it. After a while, atleast a few hours, of hooking it up I popped in a DVD. The sound was great and the system was definitely worth it. However for the first month my system was set up the subwoofers (yes there are two) were not working. PLUS: All my sound was simulated Dolby Pro-Logic rather than the traditional true surround of Dolby Digital. This however was not the fault of my system, but rather a fault of the design/interface of my PS2 as needs to be activated to reproduce any Dolby Digital or DTS sound. I hope to get a decent picture of the system in the up and coming months however, my time is limited and my room is filthy. To send donations to me for my purchase... or to assist in payment... My Speakers:

WHARFEDALE.COM

WHARFEDALE ZALDEK SERIES

These my newly purchased and
installed. I am a fan of Wharfedale not
because they are Britian's #1 HI-FI speaker
company, but becuase they are rich in both
high, low, and mid-range sounds. The
Wharfedale Zaldek Series have fast bass
response and full sound. Wharfedale also
creates a very sleek speaker with good looks.

The speaker in the picture to the left with
the dual 8" woofers are my enormous front
speakers for the surround system and will
also go very well with any cds I may want
to listen to because of their good bass that
does not require an extra subwoofer for cds
and Mp3s.

The speakers on the left that are shaped
like a rhombus act as my rear left and rear
right surround speakers. These also have
very rich sound which goes well paired up
with the Zaldek 2000 series that I am using
for my two front speakers.

The speaker to the left that is short and wide
acts as my "center channel" this speaker is
designated to play all of the voice that a
surround system plays during movies. I have one
enormous front center speaker, one rear center
speaker. Wharfedale's Zaldek series has one of
the biggest center channels I have ever seen.

The last piece of the home theater speaker
package is the sub-woofer. This is the silver
square shaped box that is in the top picture on
right side to the right of where the gentleman is
sitting onIt gives the low frequency audio for
the surround. Or in Timmy's vocab: "It make da BOOM
BOOM!" I will have dual subs in my situation to
provide more rumble throughout the room. Each sub-
woofer is along the front wall of the system. Its
nearly impossible to describe how important they
are to a Home Theater system.

My Receiver:

BEST BUY'S ELECTRONICS

HTR-5790

On the left we have a link to BestBuy.com and a pic or the receiver that I currently own. The receiver is one of the most important pieces to the home theater experience that you want. The receiver is what decodes the different types of surround sound you can receive... such as THX, DTS, DOLBY DIGITAL, and do DOLBY PROLOGIC. That means that I can listen to up to 7 discrete channels of audio. It has one of the lowest distortion rates that you can find. (Less than 0.04% THD) The Yamaha HTR-5790 has 140 Watts Per Channel and can decode multiple optical inputs (Seven I think?). I will be running optical from my PS2, A DVD Player, a CD Player and quite possibly a Mini Disc Player. And eventually an HDTV DirecTV receiver as well. This way I can recieve the highest quality audio available. With more than enough power to literally shake the house.
These Are All The Cables That Are Necessary To Make It Happen:

Of course they come from the #1 Hi-Fi Cable Company in the world... MONSTER CABLE
HOME
CLEAN

This is my clean power source. This filters out electromagnetic noise
to remove scratchy sounds and video noise from not only my surround
sound system but my television as well. A clean power source is a extremely
important device that can extend the lifetime of your electronics by as much
as 2x. These are reccomended with each and every Home Theater, especially
one of this caliber.
