Vincent Valentine:The stats: Age: 27, or over 40, no one really knows. Height: 6 0 Birthdate: 13th October - he's a Libra Birthplace: Unknown (I think its rocket town - the gun fanatics shop) Blood: A Occupation: Un-employed now, but was a Turk. Weapon: Gun Who is Vincent?: Unfortunately, Vincent isnt one of the main characters and you may not have even got him in your party, more fool you and Squaresoft. Vincent used to be a member of the Turks and the last mission or whatever he was sent on was to Nibelhiem, along with Hojo and his semi-assistant, Lucrecia. Anyway, Vincent kinda likes Lucrecia, but she kinda liked Hojo. She must have been drugged somehow. What is there to like??? Anyway, Hojo had taken over the Jenova project from professor Gast and was trying to continue it in his own little weird way by experimenting with people, like you do, so he decided it would be a fun idea to inject his partner with Jenova cells. What would you do if your boyfriend tried to do that to you? Vincent was against this, and so went to see Hojo and got shot for it. And then experimented on. And then left in the basement of the Shinra mansion. In a box. For about 20-odd years or more. (Sob.) Hojo needs his arse kicking! What the guide says: Talk about a dark presence, Vincent sends chills down even the toughest persons spine. Although he may look evil at first, theres a good soul trapped beneath his dark exterior. Vincents plight is yet another example of shinras warped experimentation; however, there is more to this story than just bungled scientific research. Vincent is a strong fighter, much like Barret. Hes quite competent with materia and makes good use of it from the back row. His limit attacks are powerful, but sometimes un-predictable. Once he transforms, you are no longer able to control Vincent. Make sure you are familiar with you enemies strengths and weaknesses before Vincent transforms, or you may end up helping your enemies more than hurting them. Vincent will not join your party on his own. Vincent is not scary, so why does the guide make him out so? And hes not evil. As soon as I found him, he remained in my party, except when I had to level people up at the end. I would advise against fitting him out with a lot of strong materia because as soon as he transforms youre gonna lose it. As for limit breaks, he gains them quite quickly because he doesnt have as many to get. His Limit Breaks: Vincents limit breaks arent quite the same. He transforms into somekind of beast and you lose control of him through the rest of the battle or until he is KOd. They make up for it by a) giving a small HP rise, b) being quite powerful and c) looking cool. Level one: He turns into a purple thing with horns. (oh, the powers of description are coming back to me!) The attacks are then fire based. BEAST FLARE - little fire orbs are fired at a group of enemies. BERSERK DANCE - does a little combo on one enemy. Level two: He turns into something that looks like frankenstien which is slightly more powerful and has lightning attacks. GIGADUNK - punches a single opponent. LIVEWIRE - attacks every enemy with and electrical charge. Level three: Turns into a chainsaw-wielding maniac. Cool. (Puzzled) How could you grow a chainsaw? SPLATTERCOMBO - attacks an enemy fives times with the chainsaw. NIGHTMARE - hits an enemy with a number of status effects which include silence, sleep, confusion, frog and mini. Level four: He turns into a demon with wings, which kinda looks like diablos cross with the guy out of Tekken. CHAOS SABER - works like slash-all, but doesnt rely on his weapon to determine damage. SATAN SLAM - A big skull comes out of the ground and kills all enemies. If this doesnt work, they are hit with flaming skulls instead. Serves them right for not dying in the first place. How do I get Vincent: Firstly, you have to open the safe. To save you looking all over the place, the code is right 36, left 10, right 59, right 97. You cant go past these numbers, or else youve had it. When you open it, you have to fight lost number, which shouldnt be a hard fight if you have enough levels. Lost number is at 35, so if you get your characters to level 30 or above, you should have no problems. After this fight, get the basement key and the Odin materia and go to the basement. Youll see a door which you can now open. Go to the coffin in the centre and talk to Vincent until he refuses to talk to you anymore, then walk out. Go see Sephiroth in the meantime, if thats where youre up to in the game, then walk out of the basement altogether. Vincent will follow you and ask to join your party. Also, it's best to get the enemy skill ???? here as well just before you get Vincent. After the first disk, the monsters using it seem to disappear or if they do appear they rarely use it. And finally, a picture: Oh, I have so many pics of Vincent on my computer, its untrue. Not that I'm some sad weirdo with a compleate obsession or anything... _; So I had to pick out more than one to put here, yay! Oh, thanks to smoochies and other random sites ^^; we owe them so much...
