Tifa Lockheart:The stats: Age: 21 Height: 167cm Birthdate: 3rd May - she's a taurus. Birthplace: Nibelhiem Blood: Unknown Occupation: Slums bar-owner - Tifas Seventh Heaven. Weapon: Glove. Who is Tifa?: Tifa is like the second in command of AVALANCHE and gets on well with Barret. She also acts kinda like a demi-mother to Marlene. Her and Cloud used to know each other back when they were kids, but although they lived next door to each other, they didnt really know each other too well, until Cloud announces to her one night that he wants to go off and become a member of SOLDIER. Tifa then seems to realise how much she misses him when he leaves and waits for him each day to come back. Later on, as you see her at the start of the game, she is the owner of Seventh heaven, a bar in the sector seven slums. There is a love triangle going on between her, Aeris and Cloud, but Tifa always seems to back down slightly and let Cloud get on with it, but will always be there if Cloud needs her. What the guide says: Tifa and Cloud were childhood friends, but parted ways when Cloud left his hometown of Nibelhiem to join SOLDIER. When her parents died, Tifa also left Nibelhiem and headed for Midgar. Soon after opening her bar, Tifas Seventh Heaven, she met Barret and joined his ragtag group of rebels known as AVALANCHE. Its her goal to make sure Cloud remains with AVALANCHE after this first mission with the team. When fighting, Tifa lets her fist do the talking. Her attacks are generally weaker than Clouds and Barrets, but from early on, her chain of limit break are by far the best thing going. Instead of selecting a single limit break, each new attack adds to the chain for a total of seven devastating hits. If she can score Yeah! on the twirling slots, she causes extra damage. It she stops on a Miss she misses with that part of the combo. Tifa should always be a frontline fighter, but may have trouble contributing during some boss fights. Tifa was not always in my party but when she was, I gave her a lot of curative and decent materia. It took a long time for me to get Tifa up to the level of all the other players, but her limit breaks made up for it when I used her. Saying this, I liked Tifas character and hoped that Cloud would choose her from the beginning. Her Limit Breaks: Tifas limit breaks dont follow the same pattern either, but steadily build up into a long chain of attacks that work really well, providing, of course, you dont land on Miss constantly. Level one: BEAT RUSH - this is just a little combo SOMERSAULT - hits the target right under the chin with a cool flip-kick Level two: WATERKICK - A low spin-kick with a water element METEODRIVE - She picks up her enemy and does a backdrop. How funny would that look on emerald weapon? Level three: DOLPHIN BLOW - As if from no-where a dolphin appears and does a dolphin uppercut. (water element) METEOR STRIKE - Tifa picks up the opponent, jumps up in the air and then slams them down hard on the floor. Level four: FINAL HEAVEN - A load of energy if focused on her fist which she then uses to punch her opponent And finally, a picture: For some reason or other, I strangely dont seem to have many pictures of Tifa, in fact, this is the only one I have. |
