Why I hate/like the game - SPOILERS:Pandora: Um, I'm not sure why I did this page considering it has little to no relevance. I think I just kinda wanted to rant for a bit. Why its great: Characters: Most of the characters in this seemed to make sense and most had a good connection with the storyline, unlike some other episodes where they seemed to be there because no-one else was. Also, I liked the idea of hidden characters. It makes sense that not everyone would automatically follow you. Materia: this was really quite easy to use, even though it took a year and a half wondering around Mideel trying to level up. Plus, it was even integrated into the storyline as well. Limit Breaks: Even though no clear way of gaining these was really shown, they were actually quite useful and were kinda cool - Chaos for example. And you could save them until you needed them as well. The bad guy made sense: sorry, I'm a fan of the bad guys in stories, so it's important to me the bad guy isn't just there for the hell of it. A lot of people seem to hate Sephiroth for what he did in the game but I think quite a few others are with me in feeling sorry for him. Also the same can be said for Hojo - from playing the game again, he seems to be controlled, probably by jenova, throughout the story. I know this may sound really mean, but I think Aeris dying was a decent plot idea. No-one dies in the other ones, even though they face unbelievable situations at every turn, thats just bizarre. The fact that you could fight the weapons and win struck me as being kinda cool. The weapons are gigantic and ikkle cloud and his posse can kill them off. Cool. Things I didn't much like: Chocobos. Even though they were quite useful and cute and the end (I did get the KOTR materia in the end, and it was worth it), they took ages to breed and it always took forever trying to get enough greens together to feed them up. Levels took a very very long time, and so did limit breaks. Most of my game was running around trying to fight people. Unfortunately, Im not one of the people who can cope if my characters arent at level 99 so I guss that's my own personanl thing I have to deal with. Why wasnt Vincent one of the main characters? His story and the subquests around it were really good and it showed what an absolute arse Hojo really was. How come there were four kinds of graphics? You saw polygon cloud, battle cloud, video cloud and animation cloud. This just annoyed me because they didnt look all that similar and the different types of animation switched constantly. Why did everyone keep walking into Cloud? I played this game for the first time and Barrent decided to join my party and walked into Cloud. I thought there was something wrong with my CD, but it appeared as if cloud found this to be normal. And then in the lift, Barrent walked out of Cloud. After playing the other Final Fantasy versions, I now know this is something generic to final fantasy Why did you never get to see Yuffie/Vincent in any FMVs? Not fair really... Why is everyone so g-ddamn short??? It says in the book that Sephiroth and Vincent are about 158cm. In English that means theyre about 53. Im 5'8"! Somehow I just couldnt take any notice of a small bad guy (meaning no offence to short people) but Id just want to lean on them instead. Somehow, even though he is a nutcase, he doesn't seem as formidable. It doesnt make sense. [Back] |
