Cid Highwind
Mini Cid Cid Highwind:

Birthdate: 22nd February - he's a piscean (Same as me!)
Birthplace: Unknown
Blood: B
Job: Pilot

Who is Cid?:
It seems that the Shinra should just have a separate department especially for destroying peoples lives. Cids yet another person whos been affected. Years ago, Cid was a top-notch pilot for Shinra and ever since they started talking about going into space, Cid built his dreams around that. Many attempts at making a rocket later, the launch day came. But one of his crew, Shera, was still in the rocket and taking off would mean frying her to a crisp. Not wanting to become a killer, he aborted the mission, and soon after so did Shinra. Youll find Cid in his rocket when you first visit rocket town where he lives with his assistant - Shera. He speaks generally for the rest of the town and so you need to speak with him. He joins your party when Shinra want to take his plane as well but you take it instead. If your fighting Shinra, then guess who wants to as well.

What the guide says:
Cid is an expert pilot and mechanic who dreams of one day becoming the first man in space. His dream would have been fulfilled, but he aborted the launch in order to save the life of one of his crew. Now he spends his time trying to repair his in-operable rocket in the hopes that Shinra may one day re-instate its space program, giving him another chance to fulfil his dreams.
With his lance in hand, Cid is always prepared for battle. His fighting skills are top-notch and come In handy throughout most of the game. His limit breaks are very helpful when fighting evil hordes that threaten to consume the land. Youll notice that they cause direct damage rather than inflicting status or healing the party. Cids statistics are pretty average all the way around, which can help or hinder his performance depending on how he is equipped.
Cid was always in my party because I liked his character. His weapons do look kinda weird, I think. Having done a ickkle bit of Kobudo, I think there are some better attacks he could do, other than just prodding them - though the trident does look kinda cool. I just liked Cids attitude to everything that was going on - one minute hes running around, organising everything, the next hes snoring in the corner. Plus his dynamite limit break looks funny.

His Limit Breaks:
Cids limit breaks are straight to the point and dont do anything else apart from cause damage.
Level one:
BOOST JUMP - He leaps up into the air and lands on the enemy with his spear.
DYNAMITE - produces a stick of dynamite, lights it on his cigarette and throws it at a group of enemies. I thought this looked quite funny the first time a saw it.
Level two:
HYPER JUMP - Leaps into the air and drives his spear into the ground, causing a big explosion which hurts a group of enemies.
DRAGON - He summons a dragon which attacks one enemy, and gives HP and MP to Cid. The boost it gives you isnt anything to write home about though.
Level three:
DRAGON DIVE - Kinda like boost jump, except it only hits one opponent and hits many times.
BIG BRAWL - he leaps into a group of enemies and attacks them.
Level four:
HIGHWIND - The Highwind is summoned and unleashes a barrage of attacks on a group of enemies.
