Motrhead "We Are Motrhead" 2000 8/10
The first thought that crossed my mind where Just another Motrhead album but how wrong I were. This record rocks and its the best sinceI dont know how far back in time. They have slow down a little bit and the songs are more based on riffs but the energy and the rock n roll are still there, I just wonder how Lemmy, who drinks a bottle of whiskey every day, still can sing with such power. Listen to the ballad One More Fucking Time and you will hear that Lemmys voice sound better than ever. The only minus on this album is the awful cover of Sex Pistols God Save The Queen and the fact that the title track We Are Motrhead sound very much like Ace Of Spades, but Im sure it gonna be an singalong favourite. If you once used to like Motrhead but have lost the interest please pick this one up I can guarantee youthey are back! -Uffe
Montany New Born Day 7/10 Another poor Power Metal band I thinked when I first got the album in my hand and when I played it for the first time my feeling where unchanged. But after about ten whole listenings on the album I started to like it more and more. If you mix the swedish trio Morifade, Freternia and The Storyteller you will have Montany, an perfect mix between power, speed and great melodies. The thing I like about this album is the wonderful vocal-lines and their great feeling for melodies. The production may sound a little bit thin but that doesnt bother me cause all the other thing takes the album to another level. New Born Day is not a new Keeper Of The Seven Keys but it is something that is unusual today, an Power Metal album that you dont gets bored of after one listening. A well recomended album for you who are open minded about metal and dont are afraid to give an album a chance to grow. -Uffe

Maryslim "Maryslim" 2002 7/10
With one E.P., two singles and various tributes and complications albums its now time for the swedish rockers in Maryslim to release their self-titled full-lenght album. Maryslim plays Rock `N` Roll in the same vein as Hellacopters but they have add their own touch to the music. They have mixed Hellacopters, AC/DC, Kiss, choruses that is easy to remember and great riffs. There is really nothing more to say about this. Its an great Rock `N` Roll album with good riffs and choruses what do you want more? Its produced by Tomas Skogsberg (The Hellacopters) and that says alot. Two tracks that really gonna be played in my stereo this summer is Quite Intoxicated and You Got an attitude. So dont sit there on your fat behinds and go get Maryslims debut and fill your head with Rock `N` Roll. -Uffe
There is a few bands that you always know what you get when you buy one of their albums. Motrhead is one of them and the album Hammered is not an exception. But even if this is an ordinary Motrhead album it has its peaks. Here is songs about sex, beer and rock n roll but also about all the unfair things in life. I have to say that it was a long time ago since Motrhead sounded so fresh and good on an album, just listen to songs like Walked A Crocked Mile, Down The Line, Brave New WorldI could name them all. Motrhead always manage to put in some new things in their albums but I think only an well trained Motrhead ear could hear them. I should stop writing now because an Motrhead review is somehow always written on routine just because of the fact that they always sounds the same as their previous albums. I just want to mention one more thing, Serial Killer the last song there Mr Kilmister perform his own little spoken word. This have you never heard on an Motrhead album beforeor? -Uffe
