Area 11: The Entrance Beds

May 23: It would seem I have acquired a couple more Hostas behind the large, round Boxwood. I've also lost the Jacob's Ladder near the steps. The Tulips were a fantastic surprise. I was expecting one flower for each bulb and instead they had three deep, rich, royal purple blossoms that lasted a couple of weeks. To our even greater surprise, the two that we cut for the kitchen table kept growing and have outlasted the outside ones. Of course we took pictures, but we're still waiting to finish the roll. The Coral Bells are also blooming, while the Alpine Aster is budded out and just waiting to pop open (lotsa buds)

April 22: One of the Daffodils on the south side (away from the house) of the hedge has opened. Thankfuly its a lovely white one, a pleasent break from the yellow ones that I have beginning to open elsewhere. Spring is here now - Yippeeee!

Initial:I'm still looking for an up-to-date photo of this area (I know I have one somewhere). In the meantime, I've added the plants that are coming up and I have been able to identify. It's nice to see things looking green again. The tulips and daffodils were a surprise this year. I had a few bulbs left over from last fall, so they just got thrown in where they are shown. I forgot all about them, but they are coming up.
