Gardening

Here is another subsection of BCU-Earth, intended to specifically discuss my yard, gardens, and elements of gardening which I have found useful and interesting. I am by no means a real gardener, I barely rank as an amateur, but I have learned a few things, and plan on learning a lot more as time goes on. You are welcome to follow me down a road filled with mistakes, blunders, and occassional fits of fanciful inspiration.

The pictures below are a kind of half-assed attempt at panaramic views of my back yard. I'll be shooting a series of these every once in a while to get a perspective on the changes in the yard throughout the year.

The house is located in Cayuga, Ontario (just south of Hamilton) putting us smack on the line between USDA Zone 5a/5b (in other words - the middle of Zone 5). Like much of North America this year, we have been having a bit of a wet spring. I don't doubt that it will end soon and I'll be complaining about how dry it is. Just never satisified, I guess :-)

Anyhow, feel free to wander through my beds and see what's happening. I try to update it every couple of weeks as the new plants emerge or bloom. I hope you are able to find something of interest.

Enjoy,
Brett
