(DELIVERY) I decided that the obvious way to arranged restaurants was by price. Afterall, we are students, and money is the most important factor in deciding where we eat. In the following pages, you will find my ratings of restaurants in the surronding area of LSU. You might not agree with them, but I do. Organization Chart (Price includes tax and
tip):
Near Campus (all since it's delivery): Domino's: (on campus) Not a bad idea if you're sick of cafeteria food. There is usually a daily special on the pizzas. If there isn't I wouldn't buy one because it will end up costing at least $10 for one pizza. For that price, I order off campus to Papa John's. Sometimes, one topping larges are $5. If you live in Laville you don't have to pay for delivery because it's right next door in the Laville Food Emporium. Girls, be careful at night. Guys too. If you get it delivered, please tip the person. Oh yeah, they usually have a 5 large one topping larges special for $25. Good deal if you're having some friends over. If you're pressed for money, order their Twisty Bread. It's about $2 is pretty filling and good. Whatever you do, don't call it Crazy Bread unless you want the manager to yell at you. Rotolo's Pizza - Found on Bob Petit Dr., Rotolo's is good for delivery and pick up. It's much too smokey normally to eat there. I think they have a dine in special on Wednesday or Thursday at lunch for a $3.99 calzone. If you don't get that, large pizzas start at $10. Pizza Hut: The one that delivers to LSU is on Nicholson. I was once cursed out by their manager on the phone, can you believe that? Unbelievable. They are expensive and take a long time to deliver. It might be a better idea to go to the Pizza Hut on Lee and Perkins. Papa John's: Good pizza, sometimes they have good specials. The delivery is good. It's located on Lee. The Chinese Restaurant: This might be
the only Chinese that delivers to LSU. They are pretty expensive
($10/person), but it is good Chinese. Message

Non Delivery: M's Fine and Mellow Cafe: This is my favorite pizza in the world. It's primarily a jazz cafe, and you sometimes have to pay a cover at night. During the day, I think they have a pizza buffet. It is located on 3rd Street I believe in downtown BR. The one negative is that at night, it can be a rather smokey place. It can be a neat place to hang out. A large pizza starts at about $10. You can split it. Louisiana Pizza Kitchen: they have thin crust pizza with a unique texture. I liked it. There is one on Corporate near Jefferson. There was one off I-10, but it closed down. Red Flower Chinese: located almost within walking distance from the north gates of LSU, this Chinese restaurant is good. They have a lunch buffet for about $5, and good dinners for around $5 also. Check it out. The guy in charge is really nice. Great Wall: located at 3084 College Drive, this Chinese buffet has a loyal following amoung many LSU students. It's very good if you like Chinese buffets. It may be one of the best in Baton Rouge if not the best. It really is loaded with a lot of freshly cooked food. Try it for only $5.95 at lunch. Portabello's: This Italian restaurant on 1072 N. Lee across from Mike Anderson's is pretty good. The pizzas are good and the entrees are as well. Try the portabello mushroom sandwich, it's good, though $6 is high to pay for a sandwich with one mushroom on it. Mostly students work here, and you can place orders to go. Try it if you want gourmet pizza and you're sick of DeAngelo's, or if you want some none-chain Italian. DeAngelo's: Probably the best pizza in Baton Rouge, though M's Cafe is my favorite. It is located on Burbank and Lee right next door to the Winn Dixie. Their calzones are delicious. You can split an extra large pizza starting at $11. That's only 5.50/person. You can order it and pick it up too. They have a second location on Bluebonnet near the Mall of Louisiana. Try it, go back, but watch your weight! Mr. Gatti’s - all you can eat pizza buffet on north gates of campus. The pizza is not good. It’s some of the worst pizza you will ever have. The interior is quite depressing. The bbq chicken pizza is their best. All you can eat and drink for $5. Recommended once, but not regularly. CiCi's Pizza Buffet - take I-10 towards
New Orleans, get off at Seigen, turn left onto Seigen, and take a left
at the first stop light that's past the interstate. It's near the
theatre.
