Chiriko, the last of the Suzaku Seishi to appear, is the youngest but most intelligent of the group. He is thirteen, but he looks like a little 10 year old girl ^_^ He was studying for an exam to become a government official when he read in the stars that misfortune would befall the Suzaku Seishi. He immediately headed for the capital, hoping to arrive in time to stop the ceremony. He didn’t make it in time for the ceremony to be a failure, but he did arrive in time to stop Amiboshi, a Seiryuu Seishi sent from Kutou to impersonate Chiriko, from killing all of them. He reveals his identity to the others by showing them his mark on the right foot.

Chiriko is a bright little boy who loves studying and reading. His usefulness comes in his ability to use his knowledge to make intelligent and strategic decisions, since he obviously isn’t old enough to offer physical strength. He is kind and thoughtful, ready to do what he can to help everyone even if he feels inadequate. Despite being a child, he is more mature than some of his older comrades, being polite and respectful to everyone. Chiriko feels at times that he is of little help to the Suzaku Seishi, but beneath his small exterior lies a courageous heart.
