This is the woman behind the magic! She published her first comic, “Pajama de Ojama,” in Shojo Comics when she was 18. Fushigi Yuugi was released in 1992 when she was 22 and ran until 1996 in a bi-weekly Shoujo Komikku (Girl’s Comic) in Japan. Fushigi Yuugi contained 106 chapters that spanned over that four year period. Her other works include Gomen Asobase, Majikaru Nan, Otenami Haiken, Ayashi no Ceres, Epotrance! Mai, Shishunki Miman, Okotowari, Zoku Shishunki Miman Okotowari, Watase Yuu Kessaku Shuu: Suna no Oukan, Minto de Kiss me, and the Yuutopia Collection.
To date, Yuu Watase is my favorite Manga artist because her style is just so beautiful. AND it’s only improving if her latest works are any indication!
