Welcome, friends, to my Fushigi Yuugi page...this is the first time I've ever done anything like this (creating an entire site devoted to a series), but I just love FY so much that I just had to do it! I've only just started this site so there isn't much (if anything) here, but bear with me and check back for updates!
I first saw Fushigi Yuugi about 3 years ago. I watched the entire first and second seasons plus the oav's and just FELL IN LOVE with it. I went for almost 3 years thinking about how much I wanted to see it again and just a week ago I FINALLY bought it and watched it all in a matter of days, haha! People say that the Japanese version is better than the English so I guess I'll have to watch it in Japanese too (as of yet, I have only watched it in English b/c I can't understand a word of Japanese). So I can only hope that the subtitles are pretty accurate!
I hope to expand my audience by linking with other FY sites, but haven't yet had the time to do anything like that so if you stumble on my page here and want to exchange links, let me know!
Imagine my utmost pleasure at learning that Watase Yuu has a new FY series out? Genbu Kaiden!! It's awesome that we can learn about Takiko's journey too, but ultimately, we know that she dies and that's a depressing thought :( BUT I do hope she ends up doing Suzuno's story too...which also heralds a sad ending when she and Tatara have to split up. But I think they understood love a lot better than Miaka and Tamahome did...although were I in Miaka's shoes, I'd put up a fight before letting Tamahome go as well. One could only wish! haha...
