[ ROUTER CONFIGURATION ]

Note: The best way to configure your router properly is to READ THE USER'S MANUAL thoroughly and follow the guidelines outlined in the manual.  Just as there are many routers to choose from, there are also many ways of configuring them to work with your applications.  The procedures outlined here are specific to the router that I am using (D-Link DI-704P revision C), but they may also apply to routers in general with slight changes.

Assign a static IP address to your computer
Configuring the router to work with Yahoo! [a] Voice chat [b] Webcam service
Configuring the router to work with P2P/File Sharing: [a] Shareaza [b] WinMX
Configuring the router to block Port 113
