| Artifact One for Standard III: Civilization Syllabus The artifact selected for Standard III is the project syllabus created for my action research study as part of the requirements for a Masters in Educational Technology at NJCU. This artifact was selected because it demonstrates how I can take an everyday social studies project and integrate technology to enhance the learning experience. In the future, I plan to expand the lesson as new technologies emerge. Hopefully, my school district will approve blogging, as it is a component that would improve the learning experience for students. Artifact Two for Standard III: Student Powerpoint This artifact was select for Standard III because it demonstrates technology being utilized in a learner friendly environment that demonstrates higher order thinking skills and creativity. In this assignment, students were asked to create a multi media presentation in which they demonstrated what they learned throughout our study of Invertebrates. The purpose of this assignment was to provide students with an opportunity to integrate technology into the science curriculum while showing off the content knowledge they gained. This lesson provided students with the opportunity to lead the classroom discussion based on their presentations. The technology component motivated students to be actively engaged in studying content knowledge that they had once complained of being "boring". |
