 | Ferndale Schools has professional development every other Wednesday for the staff. I attended several of these workshops. |

| I attended a science workshop at Lawrence Technological University for educators in the fall of 2000. |
| At the beginning of the school year, John F Kennedy holds an annual ice cream social. In the early Fall the playground is turned into a Fall Festival for a whole Saturday of fun. I attended both of these activities during my student teaching. The students really enjoyed seeing me there, outside of school. |
