Before class I went online to take care of some things and one of the Japanese girls was in the study room as well. She asked me to look over her speech to make sure that it sounded natural. I checked it over and it was written fairly well and there was only a few things that sounded strange. She asked me what she should add and I told her that she should elaborate further on what she has because it is difficult to write about. She was returning back to her high school to talk to the kids about college life. Then she asked me if Japanese culture was shocking to me, and I said that there was only a few things that could stand out in my head, like the materialism and the salarymen. I said that the one thing that bothers me most is not Japan itself, but rather this dorm. So I got into talking about this dorm, we started talking about difference in religion between Americans and the Japanese, as well as how relationships in American vs how they are in Japan are very different. She was telling me how an invite over to a guys house is usual an invite for sex. She was also shocked about learning that guys could sleep over girls places and nothing would partake. Anyway, I had to get going so we did not get to finish our conversation. Class as usual, a lesson test in Japanese, and then lunch, which i did not have much in particular to do, but i had to print out my flight agenda, which I felt was slightly important. Environmental class, Rina decided to show up after being absent for sooo long. Leah asked me to show her how to buy ghilbi tickets after class. During class Rina's friend decided to teach us bad Japanese words, but the end of class I had a sheet full of various obscenities of the culture. After class Leah and i headed to Lawson's but her boy was not there, so we waited a bit, and then we went to wait for him at Ichigaya and as soon as he was there I was the third wheel, I could feel it. Then we went to Lawson's but for some reason the machine was not working and I tried everything to figure out why, and then I figured out that they had events going on so one could not buy tickets until after the new year, maybe. I dunno why but I was feeling very uncomfortable around both of them that day. I said a quick goodbye and headed home. One home I watched some Maramalade boy with Shiori, and then dinner time. Dinner tonight was excellent, the bread was soooo fresh too, hmmmmm... I told Yasuko that she was being "urasai" and then eriko said that I was "hidoi" but i was only joking with yasuko. I asked Yasuko what she wanted from American and she said that she wanted a plane ticket to New York, and i told her that she was pushing it. Then I had to proceed to explain what pushing it meant. She told me that she only wanted a christmas card, and I told her that I would bring her back some entaiments. Then I asked Lee and she said that anything would do. So then I went to the lobii and i told Yasuko about the Japanese girls who were teaching me back words. Then I showed her the sheet and then I realized that I suddenly had a crowd of Japanese girls around me. We started talking about what is acceptable and the girls kept saying, "American's like sex." Also if they meet an American girl it is assumed that she is not a virgin. Then I showed them pictures of my boyfriend and yasuko said "yasashisou," which means he looks nice. Then I was summonded to go get a movie, while in the video store nothing seemed to catch me instantly, so it was between, Pie or Billy Elliot. Billy Elliot, I did not know what to think it would be like, and then Pie, i kinda wanted to watch with my boyfriend because I know that it is a heavy movie. I e-mailed Jai Lee and she said that she did not want to see a heavy movie, so Billy Elliot it was, and then I saw Minori there and Miki. She was renting Castle of Castralago for Ann, and we put everything on Jai Lee's card. Jai Lee then was complaining about how she did not want to see Billy elliot because she has seen it a million times.... grrr.... Anyway we ended up watching Billy Elliot, which was a good movie, very good. Then we started talking about movies and i was saying how good spiderman was and Jai Lee said it was horrible. I went to bed rather than get into an argument.....
