Inuyasha is the, often reluctant, hero of the story. He is a half dog demon who was trapped to a tree by Kikyo, the woman he loved, for 50 years until Kagome freed him. Since that moment he has travelled around with Kagome looking for shards of the Shikon Jewel, and looking to get revenge on Naraku. He is often stubborn and rude to Kagome, but underneath that he actually is quite sensative and cares for Kagome a lot. Because of this he gets extremely jealous and protective whenever Koga is around.
