le courtisane de mode

Rodmilla's Servants Garb

Costume Description
Rough servants clothing of serviceable wool or linen. Difficult to see details – very short scene. Dark blue dress with long sleeves, probably empire waist. Undersleeves of beige/white gathered at wrist. Floor length. Head wrap of lighter blue and white that covers hair and attaches under the chin forming a wide drape that hides the ears, neck, and shoulder (wimple).

Images
This scene is very short scene so there are not a lot of pictures on the web (know of any? - email me). The movie itself seems like the best source for determining costume details. :)

Historical Reference
Thanks to the cosprop.co.uk concept sketches, we know for certain that the vast majority of the costumes in Ever After were inspired by historical paintings, e.g., Danielle's Princess Gown, Danielle's Blue Library Gown, Jacqueline's Green Brocade Gown. We've been able to identify many of the paintings seen in these concept sketches, but since we don't have sketches for each costume, we have to speculate for some. Here is a historical painting with similar elements to Rodmilla's Servants Garb (same style, though the bodice and skirt are cut in two pieces):

Calvary Triptych by Hugo van der Goes, Flanders, 1460s (with panel and detail)
