Rodmilla's Marketplace Gown





Costume Description
COMING SOON

Worn with a short circle overcloak of dark brocade, trimmed with two bands of velvet ribbon around the edges. Gold scrollwork design that decorates the collar is similar to the scrollwork on the detachable sleeves Rodmilla pairs with the dark green overcloak worn with her Tennis / Walking Gown (sans sleeves) and Green Gown (with sleeves).

Historical Reference
Thanks to the cosprop.co.uk concept sketches, we know for certain that the vast majority of the costumes in Ever After were inspired by historical paintings, e.g., Danielle's Princess Gown, Danielle's Blue Library Gown, Jacqueline's Green Brocade Gown. We've been able to identify many of the paintings seen in these concept sketches, but since we don't have sketches for each costume, we have to speculate for some.

Picture #1, left has a similar sleeve treatment, though it's very difficult to know for sure due to the lack of detailed pictures of this costume. The padded crescent headdress that Rodmilla wears were called balzos. For more information on this style, check out these awesome study pages [here] and [here].
