The Work Begins

I have way too many pictures to put on this site, perhaps I will make a slideshow if anyone wants to see them all. On these pages I will just put up a few things that may interest everyone.

We hired an interior decorator to help us find construction workers and here is what happened.

1. He hired tile workers who had never laid tile in their lives. The one guy that had experience got mad at his crew and took off before the job was complete
2. The painters were great. Very nice men who wanted to take care of me. I mean they wanted to cut my grass for me, change filters for me, find my stuff in my garage for me...I finally had to really explain to them that the thing that would make me the happiest would be if they PAINTED for me!
3. The carpet guy and his wife were wonderful! They were fast, professional and courteous, and I only had to call them back to hammer down the nails that were left at the edges of the carpet. I wasn't in the mood to give blood.
