Laundry Room Remodel
This project is not going to be finished right away. We decided to make the Laundry room the first really big project that we do all by ourselves. We took the shelves down, refinished the walls, turned the doorway into an open arch, painted, installed cabinets, added recessed lights, and bought a great picture. We are planning to have concrete tops put on the cabinets in dark black. On the side where the washer and dryer are, we plan to have a condrete sinktop custom made. I am guessing that we will have it done closer to Christmas. Next years project will be to remove the fireplace and put in cabinets and bookshelves to make a media center there. The goal is to have the fireplace put into a sunroom/conservatory added to the back of the house. That will be one of the last projects. It will involve taking out the large window wall and extending the house by about 8 feet in the back. Until then, we live with ugly large windows.
