Welcome
We officially welcome Austin and Jacob to daycare this month!
Back to School
The summer has really gone by fast! The girls all start back to school this month and my baby will be starting Kindergarten this year!
Bailey will be in the 5th grade
Kenady starts 4th grade.
Megan starts 4th grade.
Aryiel will be in 2nd grade.
Kaitlyn will be in the 1st grade
Sailor will start Kindergarten.
Sydnie will be starting preschool.
With school approaching, I have two requests. First, I need to know from the teachers when you child/ren will be starting back to daycare on a full time schedule. Second, for all with children in school, I must have a copy of school schedules. This way I will know in advance when school is not in session. Everyone will be receiving a new contract enrollment form to fill out for the upcoming school year.
Theme Activities
This year I have decided to use the Reach for the Stars Preschool Program. This is similar to the packaged curriculums that I have used in the past only it is a preschool program on a CD; thus, I will be purchasing the supplies. I am impressed with their programming; there are many hands on activities that I think the children will enjoy. They suggest activities for circle time, art/craft, math/science, music/movement, cooking activities and so much more. My plan for these activities will include circle time complimented with one or two of the activities. You will still be receiving a monthly newsletter and a calendar of what we will be working on that day. Please be patient as we get this off and going. My first priority is to get the babies adjusted to a daycare schedule. I would also like to start working on a library/video check out center.
We will begin our theme activities in September. In September, each family will need to bring in a white t-shirt and a family photo. The photo is for use in an art project and will not be returned.

Provider Association
We will be holding our first meeting on Thursday, August 12th. We were pleased with the response we received from surveys that were mailed in July to all of the providers on WCCCC database. Several companies have sent sample of their packaged preschool programs and programs available on a CD. Then the next couple of meetings will most likely be on grant writing. The bidder�s conference for this years grant is coming up in September.

I will be going through files and updating records over the next couple of months. Please return anything that needs signed as soon as possible.
Daycare is closed on Friday, August 20th, Monday, August 23rd, and Tuesday, August 24th. |
