My daycare has been in operation since April 16, 2001 and I am licensed by the state of Illinois. I am an active member of Through a Childs Eyes Daycare Association. The association was established in the fall of 2004. I was a facilitator in organizing and implementing this association in our area. I consistently exceed the hours of training required by the state of Illinois and post my certificates of training regularly. You may view my accumulated training hours on the daycare website: www.geocities.com/chelz3/colormehappydaycare.html. In 2005, I qualified as a Great START Recipient. Great START rewards childcare professionals by supplementing their income based on education they have attained above DCFS licensing standards. As a parent and childcare provider, I know the anxiety that comes with leaving your child in someone else's care and trusting them to provide the care you know your child deserves. I think of the children as an extension of my own family and they will be cared for as such. My goal as a family childcare provider is to provide a loving, home-like atmosphere for your child. The policies in this handbook were written with your child, and the goal of my childcare in mind. My policies are for every family; please do not ask me to make an exception for yours. This is not a hobby, but my chosen career. I am a professional Child Care Provider, not a baby-sitter, and as such expect my clients to show respect for my home, my family, and myself. My fees, hours and policies are well thought out and non-negotiable. I hope that our relationship will be a long and beneficial one for both of us. I am happy to be able to welcome you and your child/ren into our home. |
