The Brettenheimer Family

So far, I have not completed much research on the Brettenheimer branch of our family tree.

Moses immigrated to the United States in August, 1864, at the age of 19. He traveled with no one else from his immediate family. He arrived at the Port of New York aboard the ship Koopshandle which had set sail from Rotterdam.

Moses Brettenheimer and his wife Barbara lived in Baltimore, Maryland. They are listed in the 1870 census with four children. Moses, a teacher, stated that he was born in Baden (Germany) and that his wife was born in Bavaria.
By the 1900 census, Moses was 66 years old and listed his occupation as a Professor of Hebrew. Moses is buried in Bel Aire Road Cemetary, in  Baltimore Maryland.
In 1934, Esther Briettheimer Stern died in New Orleans, at the age of 78. (Spelling of Esther's maiden name is from her death certificate.)
