Dragon Ball Z
By: Heroman X Zero Protoman
Overview:
Like I need one for this mega-popular anime series, DBZ, as it is commonly
called, is about a guy named Goku and his attempts to save the universe. His
son, Gohan, is also an extremely important character in this series, too. Goku
is a Saiyan; a race of super-powerful beings who destroy and conquer other
planets and stars and sell them to space pirates and others. This series,
however, is not about the Saiyans, but about Goku and Gohans' adventures.
Storyline: 10/10
A perfect score. And many who watch it will see why. It explains everything
about the current saga and slowly introduces the next one. It supports great
character depth and is very good at using the characters as an advantage. Akira
Toryiama did real well with this one.
Plot: 10/10
Plot and storyline in this one are basically one and the same in this one.
Looking at the other guys' points of view, we see that they are mostly evil, but
by the very end show SOME signs of good in them. Some.
Characters: 10/10
Each character is unique and has very good depth. The transformations may be a hassle for people to remember, but they are all very cool. Not much to say...it just flat out deserves the perfect score.
Ending: 10/10
For a series, the final episodes are fairly good. Buu becomes good and everyone
lives happily ever after...until DBGT!
Overall: 10/10
DBZ is the ultimate action series in the world of anime. Awesome special
effects and the variety of techniques used is very astounding. Kudos to
Toryiama and his crew for making such fine characters and the series. You will
find very few series like DBZ, and even fewer that rival its greatness. This
series thoroughly deserves all 10 points of its perfect rating.
