Jimmy Kudo
A prospering young detective who's got looks, athletic talent, and the brains of a master detective. Jimmy take's pride in solving cases, and even let's it get to his head. But after getting caught viewing a crime, he was given a poison which turned his whole life around.(See Conan Edogawa)

Conan Edogawa
After being poisened by some criminals with a pill that had yet to be succesfully tested, Jimmy Kudo take's a secret identity as Conan Edogawa. Only his parents and his neighbor, Dr. Agasa, are aware of the actual situation. Since his parents are almost always gone, Dr. Agasa aids Conan by providing him with special gadgets which he uses in a lot of his cases.
Conan move's in with his good friend, Rachel Moore, and her father, Detective Richard Moore. Throughout the series he helps Detective Moore solve all of his cases in an effort to seek the two men who put him in his current reverse state.

Rachel Moore
As Jimmy Kudo's closest friend, and Conan Edogawa's Care taker for the time being, Rachel is unaware of Conan's actual identitity. Throughout the series she confides in Conan and expresses a lot of her deepest emotions about Jimmy Kudo to him. She's also a very strong character, both verbally and physically. Watching the first and second episode of the series will be self explanitory.

Detective Richard Moore
An ignorant detective, Rochard Moore is also Rachel Moore's father. He had little luck solving cases before Conana arrived, in fact that's the entire reason why he allowed Conan to live with them; because of the fact that he solved one of his first crimes in years while Conan was there. Richard Moore actually knowsvery little about being a good detective and it's only because of the obvious hints that Conan shows him, that he actually solves cases. He's a big womanizer as well as a drunk; the two don't seem to go hand in hand.

Amy, Mitch, George
Conan's three school mates, he doesn't seem to be very fond of them, but they find being around conan exciting. Together they solve "Mysteries", and go and childish adventures. Amy seems to show a bit of a crush towards Conan, but he doesn't seem to pay much attention to it.

Summary:
Jimmy Kudo was an average Junior in highschool. He loved playing soccer, and had quite the knack for it, loved attention, but most of all he loved solving crimes. He often worked for the police, solving crimes that they couldn't quite piece together.
After spending a day at an amusement park with Rachel, Jimmy ends up having to solve a crime on one of the rides. He easily finds the culprit, and the other suspects are free to leave, including Rachel and Jimmy. Later that night, Jimmy notices two of the earlier suspects, their actions are suspicious so Jimmy decides to leave Rachel on her own and figure out what's going on.
Behind one of the rides Jimmy whitnesses a blackmail attempt between one of the earlier suspects, and a man he'd never seen before. After the transaction is made between he two, Jimmy is discovered and knocked out. It is then that he is slipped poison and left on the ground to die.
When he is later found by a few aumsement park security guards, he realizes the strange transformation that had taken place as a reaction to the poison. Instead of the poison killing him, his age is reversed to a child! With the help of Dr. Agasa, Jimmy Kudo becomes Conan Edogawa and hides his identity by living with his closest friend, Rachel.
He helps detective Moore solve cases throughout the series, determined and hopeful to find a cure to reverse the poison, and to find the two "Men in Black" that did this to him. The suspects are many... But one truth prevails.
