:Characters

In a desperate attempt to revive his mother, Edward used alchemy in a naive fashion, unaware of the consiquences that came with "equivilent exchange". This causes him to lose half his body and his brother to lose his entire body. Since then Ed has dedicated his entire life to bringing him and his brother back to normal, no matter the cost.

Alphonse Elric
Despite his younger age, Alphonse seems to be the wiser of the Elric brother's. He lost his body when Edward tried to revive their mother and so placed him in an iron suit of armor, which is twice the size of Edward. Near the middle of the series, Alphonse begins to doubt his memories of his past and of his family, which is just one of the many trials that he would have to over come without having his real body.

Winry Rockbell
A genius mechanic, Winry is Ed's and Alphonse's childhoos friend and later mechanic. She built the mechanical portion of Ed's body, which is quite impressive. She loves everything that has to do with building and inventing. Winry is also the love interest of Edward, although he denies it.

Colonal Roy Mustang
His touch visage is intimidating and definately demands him authority as a State Alchemist. He is a master at the use of flame as an alchemist and has become well known as the Flame Alchemist. He isn't satisfied with how the state of the country and the military are being run, so he is determined to become Fuhrur and resolve all the problems that the military has caused.

Lieutenant Colonel Maes Hughes
For someone assigned in the Investigation department in the military, he doesn't seem to be one who could get the job done. He's extrememly animated and obsessed with his daughter. He flaunts his picture to absolutely anyone who can see or hear or speak or breathe. When push comes to shove, though, he knows how to get the job done and is a born leader.

: Summary
