Blue Seed
By: Heroman X Zero Protoman
Overview:
This is an interesting series with quite a twist. It's about a young girl who
is supposed to be the one who decides fate. Her twin sister, Kaede, is killed
by an "Arigami," one of many legendary beasts who preyed on a certain family
from legend. A police-like group of government officials are there to protect
the girl from the "Arigami." Since it aired on the Action Channel, only the
first 3 episodes were aired where I live.
Storyline: 4/5
A great storyline, very simple to follow, and easy to understand. The storyline
is always clear and you always know what's going on...well...almost always!
Plot: 4/5
Again, seen from the "Arigamis'" views, their just out for their usual meal.
There's nothing wrong with that. It's just how they go about it that makes the
plot amusing. And the fact that ceramic, above everything else, makes the girl
powerless is pretty interesting. But you also know the other side of the plot
and it, too, is fairly amusing.
Characters: 5/5
All the characters are good. They have everything from the mysterious hero to
the straight-forward, blow-'em-up heroine. Most of the characters have depth
and they all seem realistic for what they are.
Ending: 5/5
The endings for the three episodes left you hangin', makin' ya want to come back
for more. If this were really a movie, it would suck, but since it's part of a
series, this is a really good type of ending. Nets you more viewers.
Overall: 5/5
It's not your Sailor Moon-type series, yet it's not like Ruroni Kenshin, where
everyone but one person that sticks around has extraordinary powers. It's
fairly balanced in that aspect, but at the same time delivers some good
Princess-and-her-Knight stuff without all the medieval mumbo jumbo. And it
turns out that by the end of the third episode, "princess" wants a little piece
of the action. It's fairly good for three episodes, and is definitely worth
getting the rest of the series for.
