Allelulia! He is Risen! Allelulia!
Isn't Allelulia just a marvelous word? I just love that word. It is a word of celebration, a word of joy. It kind of rolls off the tongue with a sensation all it's own. I don't know that it would even be possible to say Allelulia in a grumpy voice.
In the next few weeks, we will be using that word a lot. And do you know the reason why?
It is because of Easter. Easter is the time we celebrate the ressurection of our Lord - the day Jesus rose from the dead. On Good Friday Jesus died on the cross to save us, to redeem us, to atone for our sins once and for all time. On Easter Sunday when Jesus arose from the dead, he conquered sin and death. It is a mystery that is almost impossible for us to understand, but that makes no difference; because whether we understand it or not - it is very real. It is the heart of our faith. Jesus is our Saviour - He died for you personally and for me, and He rose from the dead. He beat sin and death and He did it for us. Allelulia! Allelulia!
I hope to see you on Sunday. Have a wonderful week. Remember: Jesus loves you and so do I. (share a smile!)
Love,
Elaine
