May, 1998
For the month of May our word is: "Share". Can you think about what it means to share? In the dictionary it says:
1. use together; enjoy together; have in common.Going by that definition, sharing is something that will make the world a much nicer place to be.
2. divide into parts, each taking a part.
3. have a share; take part.
If you share your time and your talents, or your possessions and your resources, you can make someone else's life so much nicer and happier. Share your joy in life, and don't be afraid to share in someone else's joy.
The most important thing that we can share is Jesus's love. If we tell people how wonderful it is to have Jesus in our lives it is the best kind of sharing. You can also share Jesus by being an example. Remember how I am always saying in Worship Center to "be a shining example of Jesus' love". That is the most important thing to share.
What is it: that the more you give it away, the more you have? Why it is love, of course. So share your love and Jesus' love with everyone you can. It makes your life so very special and happy.
I often play a game that I call "Collecting Smiles". The idea is to see how many people will smile back at you, if you smile at them first. It is amazing how many people will look surprised at first and then give you a smile back. Even if they don't, you have still given them your smile and it just might make a difference in their day.
I hope to see you in Worship Center on Sunday. Have a wonderful week. Remember: Jesus loves you and so do I. (share a smile!)
Love,
Elaine
