October, 1998

Last month was rather a wild one wasn't it. We've been delayed on building our rooms in the basement due to the flooding. As soon as things are thoroughly dry, they will continue with it. In the meantime, we will continue with plan "B" instead of our regular Worship Center format. With plan "B" we have been singing some songs, hearing a storybook and having a snack. The children seem to be enjoying it, but it will be good to get back to our regular Worship Center.
I am so thankful that everyone came through the tornado or wind sheer or whatever it was it, without injury. Praise the Lord! He certainly had a protective hand over our county on Saturday. Let's just enjoy the sunshine where all those trees went down.
Be an example in the world. Have you been practicing being "a light shining in the darkness". Show everyone by what you do and how you act that Jesus is an important part of your life and that he is your example. Don't forget to "Collect Smiles." You might change someone's whole day.
I hope to see on this next Sunday. Have a wonderful week. Remember: Jesus loves you and so do I. (share a smile!)
Love,
Elaine
