We have just learned, from
Msgr. Francis Weber, Los Angeles Archdiocese Archivist, that
the saint whose relics are in our altar is St. Candidus. Read the fascinating story of how the bones
of a 3rd century martyr ended up in 90% of the Catholic Church
altars in Southern California.
All the photographs and history from the yeas 1926 to 1976
were taken from a booklet published in honor of Christ the King
Parish's Golden Jubilee. The identity of its author will be credited,
once it is known.
