| Besides the normal pastoral
care of the people, it fell to Monsignor Sharpe to renovate the
interior of the church where time had taken its toll over the
past thirty years. In the short time while he was in charge,
he had the interior repainted and recarpeted; he also renovated
the sanctuary by placing the saints' statues in the side chapels
and gold-leafing the walls of the sanctuary. |
