Holy Sisters Come to Help

Special mention must be made of the sisters who have joined in the apostolate at Christ the King - the Sisters of the Holy Cross and the Sisters of Social Service. Since 1970 the Sisters of the Holy Cross have been friends indeed for they came to us in times of real need to serve as principal and teachers when the Sisters ot the Sacred Heart could no longer Staff the school. Under the firm and generous guidance of both Sister Timothea and Sister Kathleen Mary, our school has adapted to meet the demands of an ever new and varied populace. Their coming to live in the newly renovated parish convent is a real blessing for the parish.

Since 1967, the Sisters of Social Service have been untiring in their work. As a result of their labors, the ministry of Christ the King Parish has grown for the benefit of all: the sick, the needy, the senior citizens, the young and all whose homes these Christian ladies have graced. They are sister Monica Johnson, Sister Dianne Marie Shiner, Sister Constance Gregory, Sister Jo Ann Sanderfield, Sister Joeline Santiago and Sister Jennifer Gaeta.

XIV Our Deacons

Since 1972 a deacon has been sent each year from St. John's Seminary in Camarillo to assist and benefit from the experience in the parish ministry. These young men have gone forth to serve the People of God in many parts of the U.S. and to other countries.
