Aug 1, 2002 - I was a guest on the Peter Boyles Show, on 630AM KHOW Radio in Denver. Discussion revoled around the theology of "Heavenly Deception" and Moon's desire to create a One World Theocracy, or government ruled by religious authority, which Moon believes he and his descendants are destined to rule.

I was a guest on a large Christian Radio station in Milwaukee, which has taken the lead in exposing the heresies and lies of Moon's teachings and along with several local Pastors. They are encouraging clergy not to allow Moon to speak in their churches. They have successful encouraged one church against allowing Moon to speak there, and Moon's people had to change the location to a hotel ballroom. When the media asked the Unification Church about it, they claimed there had been a bomb threat. The media checked with all local authorities and NO BOMB THREAT had been reported. Possibly more "Heavenly Deception" which allows members of Moon's church to lie and deceive, as long as it is for a "good" purpose. Additionally, it has been reported that a Pastor in Mobile, Alabama was fired for allowing Moon to speak in his church. Moon's teachings and beliefs are contrary to scripture and his influence is like a cancer slowly spreading through the Christian churches. Moon has apparently been passing out Gift Certificates for hand-crafted Gold Watches made by Moon-connected "Christian Bernard Jewelers" to those ministers who are assisting him in getting into these churches. Is a Gold watch worth betraying Jesus for?
Moon on US tour with Christian leaders
In a shameful display, many Christian ministers are part of a 50 state, U.S. tour with self-proclaimed messiah Sun Myung Moon to speak on family values issues. Aside from the irony of Moon speaking on family values, when he has fathered children from 4 different women and been twice divorced and by many accounts, fathered several children from adultery, what is more disturbing to me, as a Christian, is that these "ministers" are travelling with a man who claims that Jesus Christ's life was a failure, that Jesus was the bastard son of an adulterous affair, that Jesus was a coward and unloved as a son, by God, and that Moon himself has accomplished 1000 times more than Jesus ever did. This is what Moon teaches, and I can refer anyone who asks to the quotes where he makes these statements and teaches these things. Moonies Buy Entire Town in Paraguay
Moon has now bought huge tracts of land in Brazil, South Korea and now Paraguay. The land in Paraguay is over 300,000 hectares. It encompasses an entire town and the 6000 residents are not happy about it. Moon seeks to build his own small nation, and has 3 sites now from which to choose. Moon and Wife plead Guilty
Moon and his wife are having legal troubles in Alaska. They were caught exceeding the legal limit for Salmon and were cited by Fish and Wildlife Protection troopers who were acting on a tip. The charges are only misdemeanors. Moon and his wife originally pleaded not guilty, but then changed their plea to guilty. However, they (or their lawyers) are facing having to appear a second time in court over the matter because the lawyer who represented the Moons the first time, was suspended from practicing law during this time, while under an ethics investigation. Moonie Programs in our Public Schools?
In what is becoming a major story, sources including xmoonies.com have uncovered that PLA or Pure Love Alliance is being used for religious purposes by the Moonies both in and related to many public schools in America. PLA, whose stated cause is the promotion of abstinence based education for minors, is an organization which claims to be independent of the Unification Church though it was founded and is managed by members of Moon's church. PLA curriculum is being taught in an estimated 61 public schools in Chicago. Additionally, the President of PLA Robert Kittel in a statement, declared that PLA was not being used to proselytize for Moon, or for religious activities of the Unification Church. Both these claims are false. In fact, not only is the PLA being used in connection with many other moonie activities and front-groups, but Sun Myung Moon himself in a recent speech to his members declared that the PLA would become a central tool in accomplishing his future plans of a mass-marriage or "Blessing" of 400 million couples. The Unification Church has even coined a new term to describe this religious effort: PLA Blessings. The term "blessing" in the Unification Church means marriages that are sanctioned by Sun Myung Moon. Everyone can recall the mass-marriage spectacles for which the moonies are so well known. Now here is Moon, declaring that this central rite of their church is what Moon seeks to accomplish through PLA and it's relationships within public schools. This should be a cause for alarm for ANY parent with a child in the public school system.

The government of France is taking a bold stand against the ability of cults to abuse and harm lives under the guise of religious freedom. France is introducing laws which would make "mental manipulation" by cults a crime punishable with up to 2 years in prison. Moonies Acquire UPI
May has become a dark month in the field of journalism. News World Communications, a Moonie held company has acquired UPI (United Press International) which is the chief competition of The Associated Press. UPI is the employer of the famed Helen Thomas, White House correspondent who has covered 8 Presidents. To her credit, Thomas quit her position, saying she would not work for UPI's new owners. While that news is encouraging, there is a much more ominous advantage for Sun Myung Moon's empire: Ownership in UPI comes with a guaranteed seat on Air Force One in the Press Section of the President's plane. That means the Moonies will be regularly in close proximity to the President, with the ability to have his ear on his own plane.

When President Bush added North Korea to his list of "Axis of Evil" nations, the influence of the self-declared reincarnation of Jesus Christ, the "Reverend" Sun Myung Moon of the Unification Church, loomed largely over the White House decision-making process. The decision by Bush to throw into the trash heap of history eight years of a joint American-South Korean-Japanese dialogue with the reclusive Communist regime would ultimately result in Pyongyang returning to using the rhetoric of bygone years. Just as the Bush administration reintroduced to regular use the terms "segregation," "civil rights," and "ban on abortions," the terms "demilitarized zone," "Panmunjom," and "38th parallel" would also re-enter the American political lexicon.
Bush, a self-described "born again Christian" who has maintained close links to Moon, hired David Frum as one of his speechwriters. Frum apparently came up with the term "axis of evil" for Bush's 2002 State of the Union address but it seems likely that Bush, heavily influenced by the propagandists of the rabidly anti-Pyongyang Washington Times, decided North Korea's "Dear Leader" Kim Jong Il was Satan reincarnate. Years before North Korea announced it was restarting its nuclear enrichment facility at Yongbyon, The Washington Times splashed front page headlines about North Korea being a threat while other major newspapers and wire services treated the sensationalistic reports as a non-story or more probably, plain disinformation masked as "intelligence reports" and "leaked" by anti-Clinton Pentagon officials.
For twenty years, Moon's main policy laundering enterprise for his incessant influence-peddling has been The Washington Times, the money-losing newspaper he owns outright through New World Communications, Inc., the paper's parent publishing company. New World also owns Insight Magazine, The Middle East Times (based in Cairo), Zambezi Times (based in Lusaka, Zambia), newspapers in Uruguay and Canada, a textbook publishing company in Russia, and United Press International, the formerly well-respected wire service that fell on hard financial times and was bailed out by Moon's seemingly unlimited cash flows.
Next year, an Insight magazine reporter is poised to take over as President of the venerable National Press Club in Washington. Thus, in a presidential election year, a Moon employee will have influence on what politicians and candidates are selected for televised luncheon speeches carried by C-SPAN and other cable news networks. Democrats and Greens should be very wary. Some former Washington Times officials claim The Washington Times and its affiliates are so tied in with Moon's agenda, its reporters and staff should register with the Justice Department as foreign lobbyists under the Foreign Agents Registration Act.
(...) The illness was considered a possible diagnosis for what was ailing the Rev. Sun Myung Moon, leader of the Unification Church who recently returned to his home in Irvington from Korea. WASHINGTON (Reuters) - President Bush has nominated a former managing editor of the conservative daily newspaper The Washington Times to the post of deputy U.S. trade representative, the administration said Wednesday.

promoters will register with the nation's election commission, a legal

The Tokyo District Court on Wednesday ordered the Unification Church to pay about 9.2 million yen in damages to three former followers for illegally enticing and forcing them into marriage against their will.
Some NGOs are criticized for using most of their income on pay for senior staff, and for selecting missions according to their profitability.
Three organizations affiliated with the Unification Church, which is headed by the Reverend Sun Myung Moon, have been granted NGO status by the United Nations. Another Moon group, the World Association of Non-Government Organizations, falsely poses as the world voice of the voluntary associations.
Explaining the whole episode, Archbishop Antonini said Archbishop Milingo had gone back to the Vatican on his own and has never been held against his wishes. "In the Catholic Church it is normal for someone to take such a sabbatical leave after being in such a situation," he stated.
Explaining the events after the Moonies arranged wedding with Maria Sung, his former physician, Archbishop Antonini said even the Catholic Church experienced a lot of difficulties communicating with him because he was being kept away by the Unification Church.

"We will not be intimidated or blackmailed to disclose his address. The eleven thousand signatures Rev. Banda of the Unification Church has collected do not impress us."
A nonprofit foundation headed by the Rev. Sun Myung Moon is proposing to build a private high school in Kona.
Directors of the Pacific Rim Education Foundation announced plans last week to establish the "High School of the Pacific" on a 32 - acre site makai of Mamalahoa Highway, adjacent to the Kona Ocean View Properties subdivision in Pu'ukala.
The proposed boarding school would house up to 200 students from Pacific island nations and Hawaii in a "shared - living experience," said Joe A. Tully, president of the foundation.
Many of yesterday's volunteers were affiliated with Service For Peace, most of them between ages 14 and 23. The District-based volunteer group, active throughout the United States and in 20 other countries, was founded last year by Hyun Jin Moon, son of the Rev. Sun Myung Moon, founder of the Unification Church.
Many of the Service For Peace volunteers are working in the District the entire summer, involved in projects such as tutoring school-age children and serving at soup kitchens.
As it happens, a definitive answer may be at hand. According to advertisements taken out in major papers around the country, the Rev. Sun Myung Moon has been tapped as this world's "King of Kings." That these particular advertisements were paid for by the reverend is perhaps worth noting, but only in passing.
08-14-2001 Archbishop renounces wife for Catholic Church
Archbishop Emmanuel Milingo, who shocked the Vatican by marrying a woman chosen by Rev Sun Myung Moon, has written to Pope John Paul renouncing his life with his Korean wife and returning to the Catholic Church.
In a letter sent to the Pope last week but released by the Vatican on Tuesday, Milingo, 71, said he had turned his back on Moon's Unification Church, satisfying three conditions set by the Vatican for the African prelate to avoid excommunication.
"I now rededicate my life to the Catholic Church with all my heart, I renounce my life together with (wife) Maria Sung and my dealings with Rev Moon and his Family Federation for World Peace," read the letter, dated August 11.

Archbishop Emmanuel Milingo, who has tangled with the Vatican over faith
healing and exorcism, has challenged the Roman Catholic Church again,
marrying a Korean doctor yesterday in a group wedding overseen by the
Rev. Sun Myung Moon.
Milingo, 71, who once led an archdiocese in Lusaka, Zambia, wed Maria
Sung, 43, a specialist in acupuncture, in a ceremony involving 60
couples at the New York Hilton in Manhattan. Moon, founder of the Family
Federation for World Peace and Unification, chose the bride for Milingo,
as is his custom. It was unknown where the couple planned to honeymoon,
and Milingo said where he and Sung will live is "God's providence."
In marrying, Milingo, who wore a black tuxedo rather than his priestly
vestments, broke the priest's vow of celibacy, which almost certainly
will result in his excommunication from the Church. That, he said, meant
"nothing to him."
Monsignor Milingo married a South Korean acupuncturist - whom he had
never met before - during a collective wedding ceremony organised by
the Moonies in New York.

singer -- has repeatedly left the Vatican red-faced and was set to do so

Born in 1930 in a village in eastern Zambia, Milingo was illiterate
until the age of 12, and so poor that he has said he only tried on his

An official Vatican source said Milingo, a controversial faith healer
who also practices exorcism, would be automatically excommunicated if
the marriage went ahead, but made it clear the issue was not a criticism
of Reverend Moon or of his followers.

The Vatican said on Saturday it hoped reports that
controversial African Archbishop Emmanuel Milingo was about to get married
in a ceremony presided over by the Reverend Sun Myung Moon were not true.
"So far, we have not received any direct information from Archbishop
Emmanuel Milingo. However, we hope that the reports being circulated
are not true," Chief Vatican Spokesman Joaquin Navarro-Valls said in
a statement.
The Vatican was responding to media reports from New York that Milingo,
a maverick faith healer who also practices exorcism, would join Moon's
Unification Church and marry a Korean woman chosen by Moon according to
his Church's practice.

A Roman Catholic archbishop will be married in a group
wedding performed by the Rev. Sun Myung Moon, who arranged the marriage
for the clergyman, Moon's organization said Friday.
Archbishop Emmanuel Milingo, 70, will be married in a ceremony Sunday
at the New York Hilton, according to the Family Federation for World
Peace and Unification, the central group in Moon's movement.
Archbishop George Stallings Jr. first made national news when he broke
away from the Catholic Church to lead his own Afrocentric church. Now,
Stallings is creating a stir among his church members over whom he has
decided to marry.
Stallings, who leads the Imani Temple, is preparing to wed a young
Japanese woman handpicked by Unification Church founder Sun Myung Moon.

Years ago, the flamboyant George A. Stallings Jr. was a Catholic priest sworn to celibacy. Then the Church excommunicated him in 1990 for doctrinal heresy amid reports that he'd been having sex with men since the 1970s, including a long-term live-in lover who had worked as his pastoral assistant. But now Archbishop Stallings of the African American Catholic Congregation -- the breakaway religious movement he founded in 1989 -- is apparently a ladies' man in a clerical collar.

"I have been plagued by women scorned," Stallings told us yesterday in a brief interview before he abruptly ended the conversation.
Last Thursday, we hear, the 53-year-old Stallings informed Washington PR executive Linda Greene, who calls herself his "longtime companion," that he is dumping her to wed a 24-year-old Japanese woman at the behest of Unification Church leader Sun Myung Moon. The 49-year-old Greene has issued a press release declaring that she will not attend the wedding -- apparently to be held in Washington with the Rev. Moon and Mrs. Moon officiating -- but that she "wishes the Archbishop and his new family well."
Known for declaring himself a messiah and performing mass wedding ceremonies, Moon has stirred up some controversy during his tour. In Oakland, Calif., Moon said that only when men and women procreate are they fully human, which some interpreted as a slam on homosexuals and women without children.

``Really? Whoa!'' said Bruce Forbes, chairman of the religious studies department at Morningside College in Sioux City, Iowa, and a part-time Minneapolis resident.
``It doesn't surprise me that the Unification Church would do this. They want to mainstream themselves into respectability. It surprises me that you've got Baptist ministers sponsoring it.''

In recent years, the aging leader has taken steps to win mainstream acceptance. The church was replaced by an entity called the Family Federation for World Peace and Unification, and its public agenda became marriage and family values.
Critics of President Bush's support of faith-based social programs have held out the Unification Church as a prime example of the sort of fringe religion that might now qualify for government contracts. Indeed, Mr. Moon's movement is preparing to apply for federal funds for its sexual-abstinence programs in schools, and today's event will begin with a panel talk on faith-based initiatives.

has been teaching health and sexuality classes at more than 20 Chicago Public
Schools. The Illinois Caucus For Adolescent Health (ICAH) cites PLA's
presence in the schools as an example of CPS's failure to provide a sound
method of providing sexuality education, and calls on Mayor Richard M. Daley
to bring Comprehensive Health and Sexuality Education (CHSE) to all Chicago
Public Schools.
ICAH has the support of a broad network, including the Reverend Jesse
Jackson, the Illinois PTA, the Health and Medicine Policy Research Group, Dr.
Lisa Henry-Reid of Cook County Hospital, Planned Parenthood of Chicago, the
Illinois Women's Health Coalition, and the AIDS Foundation of Chicago.
"Our children should not be taught a medically inaccurate curriculum in
Chicago Public Schools," said the Reverend Jesse Jackson, CEO, Rainbow
Coalition. "I am troubled that the Pure Love Alliance may be targeting
African-American, low-income communities with a message of fear and shame."

An abstinence-only curriculum taught for free by 25 Unification Church members in up to 61 Chicago public schools last school year is "dangerous," a host of groups charged Wednesday.
Chicago public school officials were expected to sound the alarm today about the CLUE 2000 curriculum offered by the Pure Love Alliance (PLA), which one cult expert described as a "front" for the controversial Unification Church headed by the Rev. Sun Myung Moon.
School officials said Wednesday the curriculum was unauthorized and should be "confiscated and destroyed." The Illinois Caucus for Adolescent Health called CLUE 2000 "dangerous" because it promoted abstinence-only, an approach they said the American Medical Association and other major health groups have "discredited."

Arnaud de Borchgrave, vowed Tuesday that the news agency will move forward
under new ownership and the unexpected departure of veteran White House
correspondent Helen Thomas.
In an interview with the Tribune-Review yesterday afternoon from UPI's
headquarters in Washington, D.C., de Borchgrave said he agreed to continue
at the helm of the 93-year-old wire service after getting assurances it
would remain an independent news-gathering operation.
"They offered me the same contract as I had as editor in chief at
The Washington Times from 1985-1991, which stipulated total editorial
freedom without any interference from ownership," de Borchgrave said.
During sale negotiations, de Borchgrave said he kept in regular contact
last week and over the weekend with Thomas, 79, who had indicated to
him that she would stay on if he did. However, she apparently had second
thoughts after the sale was announced Monday.
On Tuesday, 40 years and many presidents later, the 79-year-old Thomas announced she is resigning from United Press International, the news agency for which she worked for 57 years, after it was bought by a company affiliated with the Rev. Sun Myung Moon's Unification Church.
"Presidents come and go," said President Clinton on learning of Thomas' departure, "but Helen has been here for 40 years now, covering eight presidents and doubtless showing the ropes to countless young reporters--and, I might add, more than a few press secretaries."

company linked to the Unification Church, has acquired the United Press
International wire service, which broke the news of President Kennedy's
assassination but has since fallen on hard times, the agency said Monday.
UPI said in an article Monday that News World Communications, established
by the Rev. Sun Myung Moon, head of the Unification Church, "plans to
maintain UPI as an independent news-gathering operation while upgrading
its capacity with new technologies and distribution practices."
Since it was established by Moon in 1982, The Washington Times has
provided a consistently conservative editorial voice in the nation's
capital. Moon also lists on his Internet site newspapers in Seoul, Tokyo,
Montevideo, Athens, Los Angeles and New York.
For boxing aficionados, it is where grown men beat each other senseless
once a month.
For some Fortune 500 companies, it is a glorified boardroom where
investors and executives can ogle the latest products, from swimsuit
magazines to Internet software.
And for its managers, the Hammerstein Ballroom is not only all of the
above but also a reincarnation of its former self -- a turn-of-the-century
opera house that once rivaled the Metropolitan Opera.

The church's Pyonghwa Motors and North Korea's state-run Ryonbong Corp. tentatively agreed last year to build car assembly lines in Nampo on North Korea's southwestern coast.
Under a contract with Italian automaker Fiat SpA, 10,000 cars will be assembled each year, for both domestic and overseas markets, church officials said. Production is expected to start next year.
