POLICE SAY SUICIDE!

Young Jin and Hwa Jung Moon Another tragedy has fallen upon the Moon family. Still reeling from the recent revelations from NanSook Hong, daughter-in-law of Sun Myung Moon, whose book In The Shadow Of The Moon's detailed her many years of abuse at the hands of Moon's eldest son Hyo Jin Moon and his cocaine drug use, as well as her claim that the elder Rev. Moon fathered a child in an adulterous relationship with a female follower, things have taken a turn for the worse.

Moon's second youngest son Young Jin Moon has commited suicide, police say, by jumping from the 17th floor of Harrah's Casino/Hotel in Reno, Nevada. **PICTURE OF HOTEL**

Remains of religious leader's son to be moved to Korea

RENO, Nev. (AP) - The remains of the youngest son of the Rev. Sun Myung Moon will be exhumed from a Reno cemetery and taken to South Korea for services and reburial.

The Washoe County coroner's office said Young Jin Moon, 21, committed suicide Oct. 28 when he plunged to his death from the 17th floor of Harrah's hotel in downtown Reno.

[FULL STORY HERE]

According to sources inside the Unification Church, another of Moon's sons had told some of the members that Rev. Moon had intended to keep the death a secret for "providential reasons" until after the new millenium, but Asian news organizations broke the story. The Unification Church is publicly maintaining their belief that this was not a suicide as police have claimed, but instead an accident. Some members had suggested to one reporter that the police were considering this a Murder rather than a suicide. But that quickly was found to be apparent disinformation on the part of the members. A quick check with the coroner's office by the reporter found that it was still being classified as a Suicide. In a correspondence, with Steve Hassan, the original reporter that broke the story here in America said she was not surprised that the Moonies were putting out information like that, but conerning the authorities in Reno, she said: "There's no question in their minds that he committed suicide."

In typical Moonie style, emotional abuse of the members would be the order of the day for this tragedy. Tyler Hendricks, American Unification Church president, in a very belated memo of the death, actually blamed the members for the death of Moon's son. He said in effect, that it was because of their failures that a sacrificial offering such as this had to be given. So spiritually, the blame went to the members, who have already slaved away as it is for often, decades of their lives, severing family ties, abandoning careers and their futures, but it is never enough for Moon. Forget that Moon lives in mansions throughout the world, has members serving his every need as drivers and cooks and security guards and body guards and grounds keepers and on and on. Forget that Moon has admitted himself that he neglected his own children all their lives (He did it for God, of course) and went fishing and gambling and whatever else he wanted to do, while never being a father to his children. Couldn't at least one of them have suffered depression from a life like that? Isn't it possible that a suicide really did result from the impossible pressures of finding out from 60 Minutes that your father may have comitted adultery, but called himself a messiah anyway, and though he went fishing and gambling in Casinos, he still had no time for his own children. Isn't that a possible scenario? No! It is because the members didn't fulfill their responsibilities, that is why Moon's son is dead, says Tyler Hendricks.

To: Regional directors, State Leaders, Brothers and Sisters
Fm: Tyler Hendricks Greetings from National Headquarters.

Many of you may be aware that a tragic event in the life of the True Family recently took place. I believe that this event brings us to tears and deep self-reflection.

This afternoon, Rev. Peter Kim at East Garden sent to the headquarters offices in Seoul and New York the following statement regarding the Seung-Hwa of Young Jin Nim, for distribution to church members worldwide. We are presently developing a statement for the media based upon this communication.

(And Later In The Memo...)

At this great turning point in the Providence, True Parents have placed their trust in us - even though we are not qualified and lack the proper preparation. They have afforded us the grace and blessing of liberating the entire spirit world and physical world. Young Jin Nim has gone now as the historic indemnity offering for the fruition of such blessing. Now is a time for us all to repent and reflect deeply, offer our prayers for Young Jin Nim, who has become an offering for our own inadequacies and inability, and make our determination to fulfill the path of the providence in his place.

[FULL MEMO HERE]

In a strange turn of events, Young Jin's body was originally buried in a cemetary in Reno, Nevada and then days later was exhumed for reburial in Korea. The excuse given for this as quoted in the newspaper article was that this was in accordance with church tradition. That may not be accurate. In the quote below, from The Tradition which is a book used by Moonies for proper religious protocol, it suggests that a burial could take place either 3, 5 or even 7 days from the date of death, as long as it is an odd number. Why then, did the Moonies say that it was "Tradition" to have to bury a body after only three days? The police had stated that they were fully investigating the matter, which would have involved toxicology tests to see if drugs played any role in the death. So far there has been no information as to whether those tests were carried out before Moon's son's body was so quickly laid to rest. It would be interesting to find out whether those tests had been performed or not. Additionally, there is the unusual action of the UC having the body buried in a common cemetary. As can be seen from the second quote below, it is preferable for Moonies to be buried on Holy Ground or their own church property.

Here are the quotes from The Tradition Book:

The Tradition, on burial time:

Pg. 209

  • Length of Ceremony. The Seung Hwa Ceremony should last a total of three (3), five (5), or seven (7) days - an odd number of days from the day of death to the day of burial.

The Tradition, on burial location:

Pg. 210

  • Selection of Burial Ground. Select a high hill or mountain for burial. Guard against selecting an area that is below water level, for example. Choose an area (preferably in a cemetary park) with a good view and which gets plenty of sunshine.

Father has indicated in several of his speeches that blessed couples should be buried at "Holy Ground." In the future, our national movements will buy parks (with hills or small mountains, if possible) in regions or states for the prupose of burying Unification Church members. Later, these areas will be designated as "holy grounds."

If indeed this was a suicide, as authorities in Reno have declared it is, the question then is why? Why would a young man of 21 that by all accounts was very bright as a student, want to kill himself? Was it depression? I believe I have a possible scenario. In going through some of Moon's speeches, I uncovered some very revealing words from Moon concerning the marriage of his two youngest sons. Moon married these two sons, selecting their wives for them and then presiding over the Blessing of their marriages in a joint ceremony.

Here is a quote from Moon's speech:

Declaration Day Of Heavenly Parentism

Reverend Sun Myung Moon
September 1, 1997 - Belvedere
Translator: Peter Kim

During this past summer, the True Family took part in a 21-day workshop during which representatives from all of the different organizations under True Parents' umbrella gave a detailed report to them about what True Parents have done up to this point in various fields, so that they can be aware of these activities in more detail. Up until now I have offered many 21-day and 40-day workshops to people from the secular world, but I had never offered this kind of opportunity to my own children. However, the time has now come for me to do this. Up until now Satan could come into the True Family freely and play around and kick them around, but the time has come that Satan should not do that any more.

Always the problem stems from woman. Particularly in this time of transition, women have had more tendency to cause this kind of problem. Even within my own family, if that kind of situation develops I will have to restore it through the reverse way. That is why I may decide that this liberation and restoration course will take place centering on the youngest son. This youngest son always comes to Mother and wants to touch her and be close to her physically, because he loves Mother so much. He feels amazement that he was born from this very mother; what a mystery! So sometimes he sneaks into Father and Mothers bedroom even at night and tries to sleep together with us.

Meet the two new couples

There was a time of declining, but now is the time for rising. These two youngest sons are so pure, so well developed, raised and educated. In terms of the relationship of Cain and Abel, of course Young Jin Nim is older so Young Jin Nim is in the position of Cain and Hyung Jin Nim is in the position of Abel. Even regarding the sound of their names, in Korean hyung means elder brother, and Hyung Jin Nim is in the position of elder brother. You know the meaning of young in English, and Young Jin Nim is in the younger brother position. It is mysterious.

My view of the providence of restoration is that, just as before they were born these sons were contained within Father and Mothers bodies and were then born from the same body, therefore, when they start their family life these two couples, four people, should have no problem even though they live in the same house. Gods ideal is centered on the family, on a couple. Therefore, they have to be reborn as couples.

Please keep your eye on them, on how they develop and prosper. Young Jin Nims fiance, Hwa Jung Nim, may have some tendency to subjugate Young Jin Nim, but that is allowed only in the secular world, not here. On the other hand, Hyung Jin Nims fiance, Yun Ah Nim, would not have that kind of tendency at all. So even though within the True Family there may be some struggles and friction among the brothers and sisters, these two youngest families will never have problems.

Please understand that from True Parents' point of view these are the last, youngest sons for True Parents to bless. The date of their holy wedding is September 6. Both 9 and 6 are satanic numbers. Upon that base True Parents will win victory and start the brand new heavenly families.

Also, these are the first couples receiving True Parents blessing after the declaration of the Realm of the Cosmic Sabbath for the Parents of Heaven and Earth.

Hwa Jung Nim may be a center of controversy in the future, so you have to keep your eye on her. If you feel there is some kind of advice you can offer her, you can write a letter and quietly send it to her. Hwa Jung Nim may have a character similar to American women, so she needs a more vertical center. She is still young, and so bright and exuberant that she feels as if I am on the level of her friend or husband. When we were sitting in a small place on a boat the other day, as the boat was moving like this, Hwa Jung Nim was gradually pushing me off. Of course I was amazed by that. She is the one central point of harmonizing force for all of the brothers and sisters in True Family.

Hwa Jung Nims family name is Yoo. In Chinese characters, the meaning of Yoo is willow tree. The main characteristic of the willow tree is that even when a small breeze comes, it moves like this, dancing like this, because the branches are very long and thin. Hwa Jung means harmonized family, so she should become the queen of harmonizing the entire True Family, moving like a small willow tree in a breeze.

Of course Hyung Jin Nims name is Moon, which stands for truth. Hyung means almighty, Jin means marching forward. So he is marching forward almighty, making everything perfect, with no obstacles and every gate open before him.

Of course this sister-in-law, Hwa Jung Nim and we can say younger brother-in-law, Hyung Jin Nim really match well in terms of building harmony in the family. I actually expect that the relationship between this elder sister-in-law and younger brother-in-law should become so good that Young Jin Nim and Yun Ah Nim may even become jealous about their relationship. In other words, Yun Ah Nim and Young Jin Nim have to convert their spouses to become like them, or these two should try to convert their spouses to be like the other two, to create perfect harmony.

If they truly pray together well in that kind of harmony, then God will truly come to East Garden and dwell there twenty-four hours every day. But those who do not follow these traditions will not be allowed to live at East Garden. There may be separation, but later maybe there will be a way to be received again. The same applies to you. If you do not follow the will of God, you will be cut off.

This is the time that we can truly establish settlement. Another factor in terms of their ability to build unity between the two of them is, Hwa Jung Nim is a wonderful, excellent singer and Hyung Jin Nim is an excellent dancer.

Happiness is now coming through our door here into the Unification Church. To bring that happiness in these couples will have to sing a song. Yesterday Hwa Jung Nim sang here, but I could not give her an A+. So she is going to try again. Today is the growth stage. [Hwa Jung Nim sings Keurieun Keumgang San, "Longing for Diamond Mountain," Hyung Jin Nim sings another Korean song, then True Mother asks all four to sing together.]

Several things stand out in Moon's comments above. One is what seems to be some flirtation between Moon and Young Jin's wife. It seems Moon was sitting too closely to her (Hmmm....) and she was gradually pushing him away. Moon is one, that does not like being spurned by strong females, and yet he considers it intriguing at the same time. Moon has said before, that American women are decended from prostitutes. He claims this is true because they have sex just because they enjoy it (imagine that?). But I believe it is really the strong independence of American women that he resents. Moon believes women should be kept in their place by men, even if it means striking them (he said this). So there is something going on here, revolving around Hwa Jung, who is the girl Moon married Young Jin to. Then further into the speech, Moon seems to taunt the two young couples, saying that they would actually be better Matches with each other's spouses. In other words, Moon suggests that Hwa Jung (Young Jin's wife) would actually be a better spouse for Hyung Jin (Young Jin's brother). Moon says that Young Jin's wife Hwa Jung and Young Jin's brother Hyung Jin would be so close, that their spouses might get jealous. Why is Moon taunting them on their wedding day like this?

Moon is a master manipulator. He ruthlessly maniplulates his leaders and church members, and he does the same thing with his own family. He plays them off one another to make them more dependent on him, and obtain more loyalty from them, through making them jealous of one another. Why is this significant? I am wondering if what Moon did on September 6, 1997 at the Manhattan Center in New York City was to marry together four people that had already fallen in love with the other spouses! In other words, I am wondering if Moon married Hwa Jung to Young Jin, knowing that she really loved his brother, and vice versa. Wouldn't that torture a young man's mind? One of Moon's leaders admitted that there had been marital problems between Young Jin and his wife, and one member told me through email, that she had left him after becoming pregnant with his child. Whatever the case, it is obvious that much trouble revolves around this fateful marriage that Moon performed on his children, and Moon hints at much of this in his own words above, almost as if he knew what trouble he was brewing in his cauldron. Shameful. Please say a prayer for the remaining three spouses (pictured below). They are probably victims of Sun Myung Moon as surely as his followers are.
