ONGOING PROFESSIONAL LEARNING: REFLECTIONS
|

| Home: |
During my studies this year, I was introduced to a word which brought
solidity to previous practices, and consolidated for me an ideal about
teaching: reflection. Reflection on practice is necessary for planning,
adjustment, assessment, and growth. The reflective practitioner
demonstrates concern for quality, an attitude of flexibility, and a
willingness to change, all of which are essential qualities for
successful teachers.
A reflection on curriculum and literacy (primary) can be found here. A reflection half-way through practicum #1 (Nov. 2002) can be found here. A reflection on the support for special needs during practicum #1 (Dec. 2002) can be found here. A final reflection on practicum #1 (Dec. 2002) can be found here. The goals I set out to achieve for practicum #2 (April 2003) can be found here. A reflection half-way through practicum #2 (April 2003) can be found here.
