ONGOING PROFESSIONAL LEARNING

...the task of the teacher, who is also a learner, is both joyful and rigorous. It demands seriousness and scientific, physical, emotional, and affective preparation. It is a task that requires that those who commit themselves to teaching develop a certain love not only of others but also of the very process implied in teaching

The sentiment expressed in Friere's quote above is exactly the attitude and ethic which I strive to attain in my teaching practice in particular, and my life in general. Teaching, for me, is not merely an  occupation, but rather a vocation. It is not a science, but an art. And it is not merely a means, but an end in itself. I feel that the various artifacts presented below reflect my attempt to develop as an educator for the benefit of my students and myself.
